Echo Photo Album

Add sound to your photos. Hear that day again

Echo Photo Album lets you attach up to 60 seconds of voice or sound to any photo — a baby's soft sounds, your pet's voice, the ambient noise of a place you traveled to. Just tap the photo to hear that day again. Easier than video, private by design, and free to start.

Top comment

Hey everyone! I'm a solo indie developer from Tokyo, and Echo Photo Album is my second iOS app (my first was Watch Voice Memo, a voice-memo app for Apple Watch). The idea came from a simple regret: I have hundreds of photos of my daily life, but none of them captured how things actually sounded. A baby's soft sounds change week by week. A pet's voice is unique and irreplaceable. The ambient noise of a favorite trip — you think you'll remember it, but you won't. Video feels like overkill for most of these moments. You end up with shaky clips you never rewatch. So I built something simpler: pick a photo, record up to 60 seconds of audio, and tap to play it back anytime. That's it. You can also record audio on Apple Watch first and attach a photo later — great for capturing sounds in the moment without pulling out your phone. Everything stays on-device; nothing is sent to any server. Free to start (up to 10 saved items), one-time purchase to remove the limit. No subscription, no ads. I'd love to hear what you think!
