Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Hayk, a solo iOS developer, and EasyFasting is the app I wish existed when I started fasting.
Two things bugged me about this category.
First, billing. The popular fasting apps sit at 4.8 stars on the App Store and around 1.8 on Trustpilot. The gap is almost always the same story — charged after cancelling, cancel-only-by-email, your data trapped behind an account you can't delete. The tracking works; the business model poisons it.
Second, bloat. Most fasting apps are quietly trying to become everything else — calorie counters, meal planners, AI coaches — until the actual fast gets buried under features that have nothing to do with fasting. I just wanted to fast, learn a bit about what's happening in my body, and see my progress. Not wade through a nutrition platform to start a timer.
So I built the opposite — focused and honest:
- Focused on fasting, not a calorie/meal platform. A clean timer, your fasting phases, your streaks — plus a free Learn tab so you can actually understand fasting instead of just counting macros.
- No account. Your data stays on your device and your private iCloud. I can't see it.
- Billing runs only through Apple. Cancel in Settings like any subscription — no cancel-by-email, no retention hoops — refunds through Apple.
- The timer and all 5 schedules are free forever. Phase science written honestly, no "autophagy at exactly hour 12" promises.
- A one-time lifetime option, for people done renting their apps.
Today I also shipped a native Apple Watch app with phase-colored complications, and a forgiving editable timer — fix a start you forgot to log, or skip a day without breaking your streak. It's the most-requested feature in the category.
