Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Nic, an indie developer from Penang, Malaysia. EarSprout is a free ear trainer I built because most of the ones I tried were either subscription traps or purely passive — you listen, you tap a button, you never actually produce the note. So EarSprout has two drills I couldn't find elsewhere: Sing Intervals and Melody Echo, where you sing back what you hear and the app listens. There's also a live Voice Tuner with a needle gauge for pitch work. Alongside that: pitch recognition, all 12 intervals, chord quality and progressions, and scales from majors through modes and chromatic runs, with piano, guitar, violin, or pure-tone playback. There's a Kids Mode too — solfège notes become animal characters, with a parent gate so kids can't wander into settings or purchases. That one came from watching my own kid try to use the regular interface. Everything is synthesized and analyzed on-device. No accounts, no ads, no data leaves your phone. The core app is free forever; Pro is one purchase that adds 7th chords, advanced scales, and the singing drills. What I'd love feedback on: does the interval training difficulty curve feel right, and is the Voice Tuner accurate enough on your device? Pitch detection is the hardest part to get right and I only have so many phones to test on.
