Dynamic Sky is a vanilla JavaScript library for adding a living sky background to a website.
I built the first versions for my personal site. I wanted a sky that felt alive — blue midday light, warm twilight, and stars after dark — driven by real time and location, not a static gradient or video loop. Once it worked there, I decided to package it and open source it so other developers could drop the same atmosphere into their own projects.
The homepage is demo-first: scrub the day, compare cities, and pin time while changing place before you ever read the API. When you're ready to use it, the integration stays small: one script, two containers, init(), and updateSky(date).
I'd love feedback on where you'd use this kind of atmospheric background and what API ergonomics would make it easier to drop into real projects.
