Hey Product Hunt 👋 I made DuckDeck because I was tired of alt-tabbing out of a game just to turn Spotify down. You know the moment. A fight starts, someone calls something out on Discord, and your music is drowning it out. By the time you've tabbed out, found the volume slider, and tabbed back in, it's already over. Windows lets you hit a key to change your system volume, but not just your music. So I built that part myself. A few things it does: Hotkeys that actually work while your game has focus, even fullscreen. Fully rebindable, so if you're on a 60% keyboard with no media keys, you can still set something that works. It ducks the music automatically when someone talks in Discord (or if you're watching something on YouTube/Netflix), and brings it back up after. You decide how much and how fast. It remembers a volume per game. CS2 opens, music drops. Alt-tab out, it's back. Set it once and forget about it. There's a small overlay that shows the volume and track when you change it, then disappears. It doesn't steal focus, and it doesn't get in the way. It's free, no account needed. There's a Pro version for €2.99, one time, not a subscription, that adds the overlay, auto-ducking, per-game profiles, and media key support across a few PCs. Right now the hotkeys and ducking control Spotify's volume specifically, that's the one being turned up, down, or ducked. But it already works alongside Discord, YouTube, and Netflix for triggering the ducking, so it's not locked into one closed ecosystem. Other music players are next on the list. If you use something else, tell me which one and I'll bump it up.
