DubBooth

Say the line. Beat the original. A dub game in your browser

DubBooth is a free dubbing game that runs entirely in your browser. Hear a line from a real scene, say it in your own voice, and get three scores — rhythm, duration, coverage. Your takes are stitched back into the scene and the finished dub exports as a video, all client-side. Play 60+ community scenes, import your own packs, or turn any video into a playable scene with the AI pack maker. No download, no account, and your mic audio stays on your device.

Top comment

Hi Product Hunt! I built DubBooth because dubbing over famous scenes is ridiculously fun, and I wanted it to work in a browser tab — no download, no sign-up. How it works: pick a scene, hear the line, then say it in your own voice. Each take gets three scores — rhythm, duration and coverage. It deliberately doesn't judge how much you sound like the original actor, only how well you hit the shape of the line. Your voice is stitched back into the scene, and the finished dub exports as a real video. The nerdy part: everything — recording, scoring, even the video encode — runs client-side. A 3-minute scene exports in about 12 seconds via WebCodecs, and your mic audio never leaves your device unless you choose to share a challenge. The dub-game genre comes from The Choicer Voicer, a desktop game I love (I'm not affiliated). DubBooth is my browser take on it: it reads the same community pack format, and there's an AI maker that turns any video of yours into a playable scene — the first one is free. I'd love to hear: how does the scoring feel on your takes, and which scene should we add next? I'll be here all day answering questions.
