DualCapture:Dual Camera
Record from two camera lenses simultaneously on your iPhone
DualCapture lets you record video from two camera lenses simultaneously on a single iPhone — no extra hardware needed. THREE RECORDING MODES - Single: Standard one-lens recording with zoom presets - Dual: Main camera + ultra-wide captured at the same time, merged into a landscape cinematic view - Front + Back: Rear and selfie cameras record together, composited as a picture-in-picture video
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm excited to share DualCapture — an iOS app that lets you record video from two camera lenses simultaneously on a single iPhone.
The Problem:
As a content creator, I was frustrated that iPhones have 2-3 amazing cameras but you can only use one at a time. Want to capture your reaction AND what you're looking at? You'd need two phones or expensive multi-camera rigs. That felt wrong when the hardware is literally right there in your pocket.
The Solution:
DualCapture uses Apple's MultiCam framework to unlock what your iPhone is truly capable of:
* 🎬 Dual Mode — Main + ultra-wide recording simultaneously, merged into a cinematic widescreen view
* 🤳 Front + Back — Record your face and the scene at the same time, auto-composited as picture-in-picture
* 📹 Single Mode — Classic recording with quick zoom presets (0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x)
How it evolved:
I started with a simple dual-lens concept, but realized creators needed more flexibility. So I added the Front+Back PiP mode for vloggers and reaction content, one-tap zoom presets for quick framing, and a composition grid for precise alignment. The UI is intentionally minimal — just open the app and hit record.
Pro features include unlimited recordings, no watermarks, and 4K HD support. There's a 3-day free trial so you can test everything before committing.
I'd love to hear your feedback — what recording modes or features would you want to see next? 🙏
