Hi, I'm the person who built this. Driven Clipboard came out of one small, constant annoyance: you copy something, you copy something else, and the first thing is gone. It's thirty seconds of your life each time, several times a day. It's a Windows tray app. Click the tray icon, or use the global shortcut, to search everything you've copied, filtered by type or date. The default is Ctrl+Shift+Space, and if something on your machine already owns that combination you can rebind it in Settings. Code snippets get their own layer. Retention is yours to set, from 250 items to unlimited. The part I care most about: everything you copy lives in a SQLite database on your machine. No account, no sync, no telemetry, and your clipboard is never uploaded anywhere. The one connection the app makes is an update check against my own download host every few hours, which sends nothing about you. If you'd rather it didn't, a firewall rule blocks it and the app carries on working. Two honest notes. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn you; the download page publishes the SHA-256 and a VirusTotal scan for the exact build so you can check first. And it's Windows-only right now. It's free, it's a beta, and nothing is being sold. What I want is people using it and telling me what's wrong: [email protected] Driven is meant to become a set of small local tools that remember everyday details for you. Clipboard is the first one.
