Doxloop

Turn your codebase into a docs site with your coding agent

Doxloop turns your source code or OpenAPI spec into a polished, validated docs site using the coding agent you already have: Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini. It runs locally and keeps your product code read-only. You approve a docs plan, the agent writes every page into a proposal, and you review changes like a pull request before you preview and deploy. It also captures product screenshots, adopts existing Docusaurus or MkDocs sites, and flags pages that go stale when your code changes.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 The problem: coding agents made shipping code much faster, but the docs didn't keep up. Every team I talked to had docs that were missing, outdated, or written once and never touched again. Nothing tells you when a page goes stale. My first attempt was the obvious one: point an LLM at a repo and say "write the docs." It produced confident, generic pages that were often wrong. So I rebuilt it around a loop instead of a single prompt: 1. Plan: you tell Doxloop what readers should be able to do, and it proposes a docs plan you approve before any writing happens. 2. Write: your own coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini) researches the actual source and writes the pages into an isolated proposal. 3. Review: you accept or reject every change, like a PR, then preview and deploy. 4. Monitor: Doxloop watches your repo and drafts an update when a code change makes a page stale. A few things I cared about: • It runs on your machine, and your product code is read-only. • It uses the agent subscription you already pay for, so there's no extra AI bill from us. • It works with the docs site you already have (Docusaurus, MkDocs, Hugo, Sphinx, VitePress, Starlight and more), and it can migrate Mintlify projects. Try the demo without an agent or any model cost: npx @doxbrix/doxloop demo I'd love your honest feedback, especially on where the generated docs miss the mark. I'll be here all day answering questions!
