Hey everyone! 👋
I built Douzo because I wanted a
simple way to practice reading
Japanese by actually typing it — no
flashcards, no multiple choice, just
reading and typing.
The idea is simple: you see a
Japanese sentence or word, and you
type it in romaji. Over time, your
reading speed naturally improves
because your brain learns to process
Japanese characters faster.
Everything is organized by JLPT level
(N5–N1), so you can start at your
level and work up. Mistakes are
automatically saved to review notes,
and you can export them to Anki.
It's completely free, no account
needed, and all data stays in your
browser.
Would love to hear your feedback —
what works, what doesn't, what you'd
want added. Thanks for checking it
out!
