DotCheck: AI Media Detector
Live AI scores on images, video, text, and audio
Most AI checkers are not with you when needed. Leave the feed, upload a file, wait, come back. DotCheck scores images, video frames, and text live in Chrome. Colored dots and underlines on the page. More green means more likely real, red means more likely AI. Hover for a percent. Same in-house scores on the website and in the Android app when you share a file. Images, video, text, audio, and documents. After a score you can issue a report anyone can verify. A score is a signal, not a verdict.
Hi Product Hunt. I started building DotCheck, the Chrome extension part, over a year ago to solve an issue I was having. It started when I got scammed online using an AI generated photo. I searched for a Chrome extension that would check all content that I see for AI signs, because I didn't know what to check before I checked it, and there just wasn't one.
That's why I decided to build DotCheck. It was first connected to an expensive commercial API and I was perfecting image capture on the site the user is on, added text... Then started experimenting with training my own models using SigLIP 2 spine, that was later modified with LoRA, and built the models upon it.
When the experiments started to be measurably successful, I started to really like my project and decided to make it public. I created Check on the website, Android app, that is now available on Google Play, the extension, now on CWS, and then spent months polishing it and the models. Now DotCheck is live.
