Hi Product Hunt!
DonorAlpha follows the money in every federal election. It started with one question I kept asking during ad breaks: who's paying for this ad?
The answer is public, but it's buried in thousands of filings. So I built a project to dig it out. It's free and non-commercial: nothing to buy, nothing for sale.
2026 is the first cycle it covers: every House and Senate race, updated nightly from FEC filings and other public records. Here's what you can do:
- Open any race and see who's spending supporting and opposing each candidate, side by side, on one scale.
- Open any group, from the biggest super PACs down, to see what it spent and where. A group page also shows its biggest givers and the groups it's linked to.
- Share any race as a graphic. Every card has a Share button, and the picture carries the link and the date of the data.
Race pages are open to everyone. A free sign-in, about ten seconds with Google or an email link, unlocks the deeper detail on group pages.
The 2026 cycle so far: $1.95B in outside money, $1.15B of it in the general election.
