Hi everyone! I’m João, the creator of Dokus. I built Dokus because I kept running into the same problem: needing an ID, ticket, passport, or any other document right when there’s no internet, or when the photo is buried somewhere in my camera roll. And sharing documents comes with another problem: once you send a photo of your passport or ID to a hotel, Airbnb, or whoever is asking for it, you lose control over that copy. So I made a private, offline-first wallet for everything that Apple Wallet won't hold. You can open Dokus instantly from the iPhone’s Action Button, and share documents with built-in tools to convert, compress, and watermark them before they leave your phone. Privacy is the foundation: no accounts, no ads, no third-party tracking, and no Dokus servers. Your documents stay encrypted on your devices, with optional iCloud sync to keep them available across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The goal is simple: your important documents should be ready when you need them, and sharing them shouldn’t mean giving up control. Would love to hear what you think!
