I'm Ariful. I built Docora because of an odd situation I kept finding myself in.
I was building a Next.js application, and when it came time to write the documentation, I reached for Docus — a documentation framework in the Nuxt ecosystem. I'm a genuine fan of it: the UI, the table of contents, the components, the MDC syntax for writing Markdown with components. It's one of the best writing experiences I've come across.
But there I was, building in Next.js and navigating to Nuxt just to write docs. It made me pause: what if this same experience existed natively in Next.js and React?
Docora is my answer. Not a fork or a port — I rebuilt the philosophy from scratch for the Next.js/React stack.

Drop .mdx files into content/ and the routes appear. Callouts, cards, tabs and steps work inside Markdown with no imports. Search is a compile-time command palette, no hosted service. i18n, sitemap, OG images and dark mode are there by default.
The part I most want feedback on: every Docora site ships an MCP server and llms.txt, so Cursor, Claude and other AI tools can read your documentation directly instead of guessing at it. There's an in-page assistant that cites its sources, and Agent Skills you can publish from your own site.
