I built DocMind because I kept looking for an AI support tool that made sense for a small business, and most of what I found either felt too expensive, too generic, or too hard to predict. The pattern I disliked most was paying per seat, per ticket, or per AI resolution before you even know whether the support layer is useful. That can work for larger teams, but it is rough for a small ecommerce store or solo founder trying to answer the same shipping, returns, product and policy questions every day. The core of this launch is the free plan. Free users can keep using the website widget and set up Instant Answers for common FAQs. That means you can cover basic questions like shipping, warranty, returns, sizing or store policies without paying just to publish a support widget. If you want natural-language AI on top, DocMind can also answer from your FAQs, policies, product pages, docs and website content. It is not meant to be a generic AI assistant that improvises. It should answer from your content, and when the content is missing, that gap should be visible. I am based in Australia and building this solo. My background is in AI product and statistics, so a lot of the product is shaped around practical questions: what content did the answer come from, what happens when the bot is not confident, and how does a small team keep cost predictable? The AI trial part is still honest: 50 free AI replies, no credit card, no trial timer — try it on a real site and tell me what breaks. I would genuinely prefer honest feedback over polite launch-day comments, especially on whether the free widget and Instant Answers story is clear enough.

Who hunted DocMind?
DocMind was hunted by Daniel Tang. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
