What Inspired Me to Build This?
Like many of you, I was constantly frustrated whenever I needed to quickly merge a few pages, compress an invoice, or sign a contract. Most "free" online tools force you to upload your sensitive documents to unknown third-party servers, lock basic features behind sign-up paywalls, or slap unwanted watermarks across your files.
For handling sensitive work like contracts or tax forms, sending files to a remote server was a dealbreaker. I wanted a solution that was fast, completely free, and guaranteed 100% privacy.
How It Works:
Instead of processing files on a remote backend, DocFlow leverages modern client-side technologies (pdf-lib, pdf.js, and Tesseract.js). When you drop a file onto DocFlow, your browser does all the heavy lifting locally using JavaScript. Your PDFs never leave your machine or get uploaded anywhere.
