Doccy
The passport & documents wallet your camera roll isn't
Doccy is a secure vault for your passports, visas, travel authorisations and IDs. Scan any passport with your camera and the MRZ fills everything in. Get reminded before anything expires. AES-256 encrypted on device - no accounts, no servers, no tracking.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Peter, the developer behind Doccy.
This started as a personal problem. For years my "system" for managing passports, visas and ESTAs was a folder in my camera roll. Every time I booked a flight or filled in a visa form, I'd scroll back through months of photos looking for a passport page. This also happened frequently when I was at the gate, with no reception, being asked for my eTA/visa number, and I had to spend 10min looking through my camera roll/email to find it.
I built Doccy for myself first. Point the camera at any passport and it reads it - and fills everything in instantly. Visas and travel authorisations (ESTA, ETA, ETIAS, Global Entry) get linked to the passport they belong to, so if you need it quickly, they are there, and you also get notified about them expiring.
The thing I cared about most: everything stays on your device. AES-256-GCM encryption, key in the Secure Enclave, Face ID on every launch, no account to sign up for, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. If you turn on iCloud sync, your data is encrypted before it leaves your phone - iCloud only ever sees encrypted blobs.
Free tier is a real tier: 1 passport + a couple of linked docs + a couple of standalone ones. Pro unlocks unlimited documents, expiry reminders and iCloud sync.
I'd love your feedback —-this is v1 and the backlog is long. Particularly curious:
- What document types do you wish it supported that it doesn't?
- Anyone else been burned by having to look through notes/photos/email app to find something last minute at the airport, or finding out your passport is about to expire?
I'm around all day to answer questions. Thanks for taking a look 🙏

Who hunted Doccy?
Doccy was hunted by Piotr Rutkowski. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
