Hi Product Hunt,
A few weeks ago I had to configure DMARC and SPF for a domain to comply with the Google/Yahoo/Microsoft bulk sender mandates.
I just wanted to generate a simple TXT record, but almost every tool out there required a work email, phone number, or forced me into a sales funnel for an enterprise plan.
Even worse, none of them clearly handled the RFC 7208 10-DNS-lookup limit. When you start chaining providers (for instance, Mailgun alone recursively consumes 5 lookups, Zoho eats 5, and Klaviyo takes 3), you easily exceed 10 lookups without realizing it. The result is a silent PermError, and suddenly legitimate transactional emails go straight to spam.
So I built DMARCPro as a fast, private utility for myself and decided to open it up:
- No signups or tracking: Everything runs client-side in your browser. No backend databases cataloging your domains.
- Live DoH inspector: Queries Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google Public DNS directly over HTTPS to verify records in real time.
- SPF recursion meter: Calculates actual nested DNS lookup weights so you know if you're hitting the 10-lookup ceiling before publishing.
- Clean merger: Combines multiple provider TXT strings into one valid record and deduplicates overlapping mechanisms.
- Updated for RFC 9989: Deprecated tags like pct are cleaned up, with support for np= and test mode.
It’s completely free and requires zero login.
