Hi PH! I built DivineEast as a passion project to share Chinese folk religion with the world. After visiting temples in Taiwan and realizing how many non-Chinese speakers are curious but can't access these traditions, I built this in vanilla HTML/CSS/JS — no frameworks, no build tools.
The Moon Blocks (Jiao Bei) divination is an authentic 400-year-old ritual still practiced in Taiwanese temples today. I wanted to make it accessible to anyone with a browser.
