We're excited to finally introduce **Div/Sum**!
We've all been there. You go out for dinner with friends, have a great time, and then the bill arrives. Suddenly, everyone's trying to figure out who ordered what, how to split shared dishes, and how much each person owes.
Something that should take seconds turns into an awkward 10-minute calculation.
**We built Div/Sum to make that part disappear.**
The idea is simple: take a photo of your receipt, let AI identify the items, and assign them to the people at your table. Div/Sum handles the calculations, including shared dishes, so everyone knows exactly what they owe.
Here's what we focused on:
- **AI receipt scanning:** No need to manually enter every item.
- **Item-by-item splitting:** Everyone pays for what they actually ordered.
- **Easy payment requests:** Settle through Revolut, Venmo, or PayPal.
- **No downloads for friends:** Everyone can participate without installing another app.
- **Free to use:** Splitting a bill shouldn't cost you money.
Our goal wasn't to build another complicated expense tracker. We wanted to make splitting a restaurant bill as effortless as paying it.
