Distrotask
Simple task manager for small teams & freelancers
DistroTask is a task manager built for small teams and freelancers tired of bloated tools. No learning curve, no endless setup — just clarity on who owns what. Unlike Asana or ClickUp, it doesn't try to be an all-in-one suite. It solves the real problem of task distribution: clear context, defined ownership, zero duplicated work. Simple by design, not by missing features.
Hi,
I'm Cesc, and I built DistroTask after watching the same thing happen on every small team I worked with: tasks got assigned, but ownership stayed fuzzy, context got lost in chat threads, and work either got duplicated or quietly forgotten.
Most task managers solve this by adding more features — more views, more automations, more settings. I wanted the opposite: a tool that's almost boring to use, where the only thing you have to think about is "who owns this, and what do they need to know."
That's DistroTask. No onboarding marathon, no admin panel to configure before your team can actually start working. Just clear task ownership and context, out of the box.
It's free to start, and I'm actively building based on feedback — so if something feels off or missing, tell me. I'm here all day and would love to hear how your team currently handles task distribution (and what's broken about it). 🙏
