Hi Product Hunt! I’m Maj, the maker of DiskWright.
A full developer Mac is rarely just a Downloads problem. Xcode runtimes, Docker disk images and dependency caches all tell different storage stories. I wanted a native utility that helps explain the evidence before you decide what to remove.
DiskWright puts ranked files, an evidence inspector and a separate Review Queue first. You can compare saved scans to see what grew. Cleanup requires your confirmation and uses Trash; it never empties Trash automatically. Allocated size is shown honestly—it is not a promise of recoverable space.
I built and iterated on the app with Codex, with particular attention to low-disk behavior, large scans and native Mac interactions. Scanning and file analysis run locally.
