Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built DimTrip after one too many trips where the plan looked fine in a document and fell apart by 2pm on the first day.
The problem was never a shortage of ideas about where to go. It was that nothing I used made me add up the travel time. A day with a temple, a market and a beach reads fine as a list. It stops reading fine when each hop turns out to be 45 minutes and the market shuts at 14:00 — and you usually discover that while standing at the second stop.
So DimTrip is built around the day rather than around a list of places. Every stop has a start time. The walking and driving time between consecutive stops is estimated for you and shown on the day, and when a gap is shorter than the journey, that leg turns amber. That is the whole idea: an over-packed day should be visible before you leave, not discovered in person.
A few things that came out of using it:
• The assistant edits the real itinerary instead of writing text you copy in. "Move lunch later and add a coffee before Kiyomizu" changes the actual day. It asks before deleting anything.
• Trips are shared in real time, and you can invite people as viewers rather than editors. Not everyone in a group wants edit rights, and not everyone should have them.
• The whole thing — interface, assistant and PDF export — works in Traditional Chinese. That is the half of my own circle most trip planners ignore.

Two honest caveats. The travel estimates are walking and driving only and shown as a range, because transit time cannot be estimated from distance with any honesty. And there is no native app yet — it is an installable web app.
