Digital Utility Kit

30 file tools that never upload your files

Compress and convert images, merge and split PDFs, format JSON, generate QR codes and hashes — all running entirely in your browser. Your files never reach a server. There is no upload step, no account, and no queue. Open the tool, drop the file, get the result. The tools are also honest about their limits: the image compressor returns your original file whenever compression would make it bigger, instead of handing back a larger file labelled "compressed". Free, no sign-up, works on mobile.

I built this because I needed to merge two PDFs on a work computer and didn’t feel comfortable uploading documents to a stranger’s server. Everything runs in the browser: Canvas for images, pdf-lib for PDFs, and WebAssembly for HEIC. The server serves static HTML and nothing else. There are no third-party CDNs, so the privacy promise can be verified directly in the browser’s network panel. If there’s a tool you’d like to see added, let me know.
