Hi Product Hunt, I built DigiFas after asking myself a simple question: Before telling my child to stop watching YouTube, shouldn't the adults put their phones down first? The first trigger came from my 5-year-old son. He sometimes watches YouTube on a family member's phone, and like many kids, he does not always want to stop when dinner starts. At first, I thought the problem was his screen time. But then I looked around the living room. Dad, mom, grandpa, and grandma were all using their phones too. So maybe the real problem was not that a child would not stop watching YouTube. Maybe the adults around him were not creating enough moments worth coming back to. That changed how I thought about the app. I did not want to build another screen time tracker, blocker, habit dashboard, or productivity tool. Those already exist. And many digital detox products are about restriction, control, or individual willpower. DigiFas is different. It is about starting a phone-free moment together. Open DigiFas with someone nearby, connect your iPhones, place them together on a flat surface, and the session begins. When the time is over, everyone gets an alert and can record what they did with one tap. I also removed a lot of features that sounded useful at first: solo mode, detailed logs, goals, detox score tracking, and heavy management features. The reason was simple: the point is not to manage your phone better. The point is to put it down and create time with someone else. DigiFas is made for families, couples, friends, roommates, or anyone who wants to say: "Let's put our phones down for a bit. What should we do?" Maybe you talk. Maybe you eat together. Maybe you take a walk. Maybe you play cards. Maybe you just sit in the same room without every quiet moment becoming screen time. I built the app with a lot of help from AI and Codex, but the hardest decisions were still human ones: what to remove, how the experience should feel, what kind of sound would make the session feel gentle instead of strict, and how to keep the app from becoming another control tool. DigiFas comes from "Digital Fasting." But to me, it is less about fasting from technology and more about making room for people. I would love your feedback: Would you use this with your family, partner, friends, or team? And what would make putting phones down together feel natural instead of forced?
