DevNotes
Local-first dev productivity app with full source code
DevNotes is a local-first productivity app for developers who want to own their tools. Projects, tasks, meetings and notes — no cloud, no subscriptions. What makes it different: - Meeting scripts with 6 templates and step-by-step checklists - Markdown notes with tags, colors and full-text search - Command palette (Ctrl+K) for instant search - Dark/light mode + customizable workspace - English & Spanish included - Full source code: Vue 3 + Express + SQLite
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Guido, a developer from the Dominican Republic.
I built **DevNotes** because I got tired of jumping between Notion, Obsidian, and random text files just to keep track of my work across different projects. My notes were everywhere, and finding something later was always a pain.
I wanted something that was:
* Fast
* Local-first
* Simple to use
* Completely under my control
So I built DevNotes.
It uses **SQLite** for storage, **Vue 3** for the interface, and **Express** for the backend. There are no accounts to create, no subscriptions, and no cloud dependency. Just download it, open it, and start working.
One feature I'm especially happy with is **Meeting Scripts**.
I kept forgetting important questions or discussion points during client meetings, code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Now each meeting type has its own checklist and verification steps, so I can stay focused on the conversation instead of trying to remember everything.
Another thing I wanted was transparency, so the **complete source code is included**. You can customize it, extend it, or use it as a starting point for your own workflow.
I'd really love to hear what you think.
If you could add one feature to a developer note-taking app, what would it be?
