Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m ShuGhost, the solo developer behind Desktop Gremlins. I started this project because computer desktops often feel static and impersonal. I wanted to create a small companion that could actually live alongside your daily activities, react to what you do, grow over time, and occasionally surprise you. What started as a simple animated slime gradually became a complete desktop pet with multiple character forms, needs, moods, application and music reactions, Steam Workshop support, window attachment, multiple monitor support, and a collection of interactive screen effects. I also added Twitch integration. Streamers can connect their channel and create custom Channel Point rewards, allowing viewers to feed the gremlin or trigger selected effects during a live broadcast. One of the biggest challenges was making the gremlin feel alive while keeping it customizable and comfortable to use during work, gaming, or streaming. I would really appreciate your feedback.
