deskNode
The AI desk companion: in your Mac's notch and on your desk
deskNode is an AI desk companion. On your Mac, it lives in the notch: ask about anything on screen and it reads the exact text, then runs commands, files things, books meetings or draws diagrams, asking before anything risky. Tasks, notes, calendar, focus timer, music and Claude Code sessions sit there too. On your desk, the deskNode device (in prototype) shows your timer, next meeting and alerts, with one dial for focus, music and macros. Mac app: Apple Silicon.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Shivv, and this is deskNode.
Every AI tool I tried had the same problem: I'd ask it to do something, and it would give me steps to copy and paste. I was still doing all the work myself, just with extra tabs open.
So I built an assistant that lives in the notch on top of your Mac, the one spot on your screen nobody uses.
deskNode for Mac (available today)
• It reads your screen, not a screenshot. It pulls the real text from your apps, so links, errors and file names come back exact.
• It does things. It runs commands, files things, books meetings and controls apps, all on your own Mac.
• It asks first. Anything risky needs your Allow or Deny, and that rule is built into the code.
• It can explain what you're looking at by drawing arrows and labels right on your screen.
• Your day is always there: tasks, notes, calendar, a focus timer, music, and your Claude Code sessions.
deskNode for your desk (in prototype)
A small device next to your keyboard. One look shows your timer, your next meeting and your alerts. One dial runs focus, music and shortcuts, without opening another window.

What I'd love from you today: what's one thing you'd want to just ask your notch to do?
I'll be here all day answering every comment 🙏
