Desk Goblin
the mac break reminder that gets harder to ignore
A Mac menu bar app that reminds you to stand up, stretch and move. Ignore it and a tiny goblin comes looking for you. $4.99 launch price, paid once.
hey product hunt 👋
i sit at a desk all day building stuff and every break reminder i tried got ignored in like 2 days. click dismiss, keep typing, back pain later
so i built desk goblin. it lives in your mac menu bar and every 30, 45 or 60 min it suggests one tiny movement break. ten squats, a shoulder stretch, just standing up
ignore it and keep typing and a small goblin comes out looking for you. the longer you hold out the harder it gets to ignore. step away and it stops, the break already happened
a few things i cared about:
- chill, nudge or menace modes so you decide how far it goes
- goes quiet when your mic is live so it never crashes a call (no mic permission, never listens)
- your working hours only, pause anytime
- 20 exercises, none over a minute, no equipment
- no account, no subscription, works offline
launch price is $4.99 one time (normally $12.99)
would love to hear what you think and which mode you end up on. menace people i see you
