Desk Buddy
A clipboard manager for Mac with a little friend inside
Desk Buddy keeps everything you copy on your Mac: text, links, images, colours, code. Press Control-Command-V, click, and it's pasted where you were typing. Copy Text from Screen reads text and QR codes off anything you can see. Your history syncs between your Macs through iCloud. The Complete edition adds App Blocker, Screenshot tidy-up and Presentation Mode. And Buddy peeks in from the edge of your screen, reminds you to drink water and wears an outfit from your country.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Rahul, I run a small archviz studio in India and I copy and paste all day: client notes, colour codes, links, screenshots of plans. I kept losing things, and every clipboard manager I tried felt like a spreadsheet. So I made one that feels like a friend sitting next to you.
Desk Buddy keeps everything you copy, pastes with one click (Control-Command-V), reads text off your screen, and syncs between your Macs. Buddy lives at the edge of the screen, and he's quiet when you want him to be. The Complete edition also blocks Music from opening by itself, tidies your screenshots into one folder, and hides your desktop when you present.
It's $5 for one Mac today. I'd love to hear what you copy most, and what would make you keep it open all day.
