Designboard
The open visual canvas for every coding agent
Open source visual design for every coding agent. Create and edit real HTML artboards, then save everything as one local, portable file. No account, server, or lock-in.
Hey Product Hunt, Fran here 👋
I use coding agents every day across products and open-source projects. They can generate entire interfaces, but the visual workflow usually ends in a screenshot, throwaway code, or a project locked inside another platform.
When I saw /design in Claude Code, I wanted that workflow for every coding agent. So I built Designboard, an open and portable visual workspace that isn’t tied to one platform.
Designboard lets Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and other SKILL.md-compatible agents create HTML artboards on an editable visual canvas.
You can:
- edit text, color, spacing, and layout visually
- inspect and modify the real HTML source
- add notes, arrows, and freehand annotations
- present multiple artboards as a deck
- save the complete canvas as one portable HTML file
There is no account, hosted service, telemetry, build step, or proprietary file format. The project is open source and MIT licensed.
Install it with:
npx skills add frizynn/designboard
I would love to know which coding agent should I test next, and what would Designboard need for you to use it on a real project?

Designboard was hunted by Juan Francisco Lebrero. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
