Delulu
How delusional is your goal? Get the math, not vibes
Delulu stress-tests ambitious goals. Type a dream ($20K MRR in 5 months, 52 books this year, a marathon by April) and get a receipt: a 0–100 Delulu Score plus exactly what it takes, like customers a month, pages a day or weekly mileage. It's deterministic math, not AI guesses. Drag every assumption to make it less delulu, pin your 2027 goals to a board, or dare a friend. 100% free, no sign-up, no paywall.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Shivraj, and together with @samyak_aggarwal we built Delulu.
Every year I'd write goals like "$10K MRR by summer" and only find out in month five that the plan needed 40 new customers a week.
So we built a calculator that tells you upfront. You type any goal, and it prints a receipt:
a 0–100 Delulu Score (how hard the plan leans on optimism)
the numbers it actually needs: customers a month, pages a day, weekly mileage, hours of practice
what changes if you give yourself more time
It's plain deterministic math, not AI guessing. Every formula is public at isitdelulu.app/methodology. It covers eight kinds of goals: startup, creator, savings, salary, languages, reading, running and buying a home.
Things people are doing with it:
🧾 sharing their receipt as a story ("I'm 73% delulu")
🎯 daring a friend with their goal pre-filled
📌 building a "My 2027 Delulus" board
🗳️ posting a public challenge and letting people vote: doable or delulu?
Update: it's now 100% free. The score, the optimiser that shows how to make your goal less delulu, and a written plan if you want one. No sign-up for the score, no paywall anywhere.
We'd love your feedback: which goal should get its own category next? And if a score feels unfair for your goal, tell us why. We're both here all day and will reply to everyone.
