I spent twenty years in newsrooms, where publishing a wrong fact was the worst thing you could do — worse than being late, worse than being boring. Then I started playing trivia apps and found wrong answers everywhere. Not edge cases. Basic, checkable, someone-should-have-caught-that wrong.
Most of it is generated in bulk and shipped unread. That's cheap to do and it's why there's so much of it.
DeepDive is built the opposite way. Every question is generated with sources attached, verified against evidence with a hard confidence ceiling, and then — this is the part that costs me — sits in a queue until a human approves it. That gate isn't a policy I promise to follow. It's enforced in the database. A question physically cannot reach a player without a human signing off on it.
