Hi everyone! I do ERP contract work on the side — mostly maintenance jobs that arrive as
Telegram messages. Different chats, different clients, and each job has both a deadline and a
window when it can actually be done: you don't update a production database at 2pm on a
Tuesday, so the task isn't "by Friday", it's "Friday after 7pm".
Two or three of those live fine in your head. Past that I started forgetting clients. I tried
keeping a paper list, and paper fails for a simple reason — you have to remember to look at
it. It sits there and says nothing.
So Deadlinus does the two things paper couldn't. You forward the message to the bot right in
the chat where it arrived and set the due time with one tap: nothing gets retyped, and
retyping was where every system I'd tried before used to break. Then the reminder comes to
you — in Telegram, and as a pop-up above every window on your desktop, with sound. When I'm
deep in an editor, a chat message is something I simply don't see.

Building it taught me more about packaged Electron than I wanted to know: four bugs that
exist only in the installed app and never in dev mode — including one that meant not a single
installed copy could ever connect to the server. Happy to go into detail if anyone's curious.

out.
