I was inspired to build Dayspring Software because I've been on the other side of this. Working at a small business being audited by enterprise customers and going through ISO 27001 for the first time, I wore a lot of hats and one of them was company policy management. I needed a tool that could help us produce credible evidence that our policies were actively managed, understood across the business, and not just sitting in a shared drive. I was drafting loads of new policies for the ISO 27001 certification and needed a better way to distribute them, capture that the team had actually read them, and make sure everyone could refer back to them. Every tool I looked at failed in the same ways: too complex, too expensive, and too technical for a team with mixed levels of technical confidence, so adoption would have been a battle. Some HR platforms had policy management baked into them, but we already had HR software we were happy with so we didn't want to migrate systems, and what they offered was pure box-ticking anyway. I built Dayspring because a dedicated, user-friendly policy management tool for SMBs didn't exist: something that helps support a genuine culture of compliance, and provides SMBs with the evidence of policy management they need to pass audits and inspections.
