DashVox

Voice-control coding agents from your watch or car

DashVox lets you run coding agents like Claude Code or Codex on your own machine, by voice, from your phone, car (CarPlay/Android Auto), or Apple Watch. Speak a task, it runs over SSH on your real machine, and the reply comes back through your earbuds. Message queuing lets you keep talking while sessions run. Self-hostable (no account needed, your data can stay on your machine), bring your own LLM keys, and free. Built to code hands-free, away from the desk.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jack, the maker.

I built DashVox because I commute two hours a day and got tired of choosing between being away from my desk and getting work done. It started as a way to dispatch coding agents by voice from CarPlay, then I realized the Apple Watch made it work anywhere.

How it works: you speak a task from your watch, phone, or car, it opens an SSH session on your own machine where Claude Code or Codex runs, and the reply gets read back through your earbuds.

It's genuinely built for technical users already in the agentic-coding workflow. Would love your honest feedback, and happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood.
