The Origin Story: I built Dashoo after a real scare on the road. I was recently the target of an attempted 'crash for cash' insurance scam. When I looked into buying a dedicated dashcam to protect myself, I realized how expensive and clunky the hardware was.
The Solution: We all already have powerful 4K cameras sitting in our pockets! I built Dashoo to turn any modern smartphone (or that old phone sitting in a drawer) into a fully capable dashcam. It features smart loop recording, GPS speed and location overlays, G-force logging, and one-tap incident protection.
We offer a completely free tier because safety on the road shouldn't be paywalled, and all your driving data is kept strictly local by default.
