Dapper brings features from MongoDB to Airtable. How? We connect your Airtable & MongoDB to sync data both ways. Get the scalability of a backend database, but use Airtable as your interface to read & write data without ever having to look at your MongoDB.
Hey Product Hunt! Ricky from Dapper here
We built Dapper because because of the pain points we experienced:
1. Rarely having the data we needed because it sat in systems only engineers had access to
2. Rely on engineers to build internal tools for us that were slow, poorly maintained, and had no features built on top of it
3. Had to deal with the limitations of no-code tools that engineers don’t have in their tools
We wanted the amazing user experience that products like Airtable has to offer, while getting access to all of the data and features that come with a true backend database (without ever needing to wait on an engineer for support). *Enter* *Dapper!*
We bring all the powerful features of a MongoDB database into Airtable. How? We connect your Airtable and MongoDB database to sync data both ways. That way all your data actually lives in MongoDB, but you can use Airtable as your interface to read & write data without ever having to look at your MongoDB.
Why is this better?
MongoDB is a scalable backend that companies need, but isn’t built for business teams with no technical background — who often rely on engineers to get data for them.
Airtable is one of the best and most versatile no-code tools out used by individuals for personal-use and at the enterprise level. But Airtable has a bunch of constraints (e.g. slows down with large # of rows, can’t put unique constraints on any column, and you can’t integrate it with your tech stack)
We’re already live with a range of companies and are super excited to open our doors to the Product Hunt community. And let us know what you think down below, we’d love to hear your thoughts and and answer any questions.
Have questions or comments about other databases, data warehouses, or SaaS tools you want to sync data to? Let us know in the comments!
Happy syncing,
Ricky

Who hunted Dapper?
Dapper was hunted by Ricky Howard. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
