D1 Migration Guard
Catch D1 migration bugs before wrangler apply does
d1-migration-guard is a free, zero-dependency CLI that catches common Cloudflare D1 migration problems before wrangler d1 migrations apply does. It checks numbering, database config, destructive SQL, and trigger definitions that break Wrangler's SQL splitter. It only reads local files—never Wrangler or your database. MIT licensed, no signup, telemetry, or paid tier. Built to catch real, still-open Wrangler bugs.
Hey Product Hunt — I built this after noticing Cloudflare's own D1/Wrangler
issue tracker had several long-open, unfixed reports of migrations
silently doing the wrong thing (bad ordering, missing config, destructive
SQL with no warning). Wrangler doesn't check for any of this before
`apply`, so I wrote a small local-only CLI that does, and made it free
because it's a narrow, real gap, not a business on its own. Feedback (and
bug reports against your own migration setups) genuinely welcome — this is
a side project, not a company, so I'm mostly looking to make it actually
useful to people who hit these bugs before they do.
