CyberTrackerAU
Track every Australian cyber attack in real time
Australia has no single, freely accessible, up-to-date public tracker of cyber incidents. News articles are scattered. Government reports are buried in PDFs. We built CyberTrackerAU to fix that. 400+ incidents tracked from 2018 to today — data breaches, ransomware, DDoS attacks, and phishing campaigns across every Australian sector. Filter by year, attack type, and industry. Updated regularly from verified sources including ACSC advisories, company disclosures, and press reports.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built CyberTrackerAU after getting frustrated that there was no single place to track cyber attacks happening across Australia. Every time a major breach hit — Optus, Medibank, Qantas — Australians found out weeks later buried in a news article.
So I built the resource I wished existed.
What it does:
— Tracks 400+ publicly reported Australian cyber incidents from 2018 to today
— Filter by year, attack type (ransomware, data breach, DDoS), and sector
— Live stats and sector breakdowns updated automatically
— ACSC advisory feed built in
— Free email alerts when new incidents are added
How it's built:
Plain HTML/CSS/JS hosted on Netlify, Google Sheets as the database, Google Apps Script as the API. Costs less than $20/month to run.
What's next:
— Threat actors page tracking the most active groups targeting Australia
— Monthly intelligence reports
— API access for researchers
Would love your feedback — especially if you spot any missing incidents or have suggestions for making it more useful. Happy to answer any questions! 🇦🇺
