Culinario
Fix the dish in front of you, then learn why
Your sauce tastes flat. The soup's too salty. The texture's wrong — and the recipe has stopped helping. Culinario names the one small fix, then teaches the principle behind it, so next time you already know. Start with the four pillars — salt, acid, fat, heat — then go deep: 17 world cuisines, 9 diets from keto to diabetic-friendly, plus baking and grilling. 29 tracks, 382 lessons, five minutes each. Six languages.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Culinario because I could follow a recipe and still not know what to do when it went wrong. Sauce tastes flat — do I add salt? Acid? Something else? Recipes tell you the steps. They never tell you the judgment.
So the app has two halves:
Fix This Dish — pick what's wrong (flat, too salty, too thick, too spicy…), get one small reversible fix, plus the reason it works. That last part matters: a fix is a tip, a fix with the principle behind it is a skill. You can play with this one in your browser right now, no download: culinario.sweetapps.dev
The lessons — 382 of them, five minutes each, with spaced review so what you learned in week one comes back before you forget it. It starts with the four pillars (salt, acid, fat, heat), then branches into 17 world cuisines — Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Ukrainian and more — 9 diets including keto, vegan, gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and even baby & toddler food, plus baking and grilling. 29 tracks in all, so it keeps going long after the fundamentals click.
Built solo. Ships in 6 languages. Native iOS — Live Activities and Dynamic Island for cooking timers, widgets, Siri shortcuts, and a Rive-animated cat named Basil who waves you to your next lesson.
It only just launched, so I genuinely have no idea if it's any good yet. I'd love to know: what's the dish you keep getting wrong? I'll tell you what I'd change. 🐾
