CrimeScore

Crime data API and safety maps for PropTech teams

Most crime data APIs either wrap FBI city-level stats or dump raw incidents. CrimeScore scores every census block group nationally using ML models trained on 35M+ police records from 48 departments. One API call returns a score, grade, component breakdown, and contributing factors. Built for real estate, PropTech, and location teams that need safety context without building pipelines.

Hey Product Hunt, I built CrimeScore because safety context is still surprisingly hard for real estate, PropTech, and location intelligence teams to ship well. Raw incident feeds are noisy, city data is inconsistent, and ZIP-code-only views can miss the local context users actually care about. CrimeScore turns national location signals into a product-ready crime data API, neighborhood safety scores, and embeddable map layers. Teams can use it for listing pages, market pages, portfolio tools, and internal location workflows without building the full crime data pipeline themselves. We just shipped public county-level map pages (3,100+ counties with interactive block group layers), a live API playground where you can hit the score endpoint without signing up, and 24-hour local incident context alongside the modeled scores. Would love feedback from builders working on real estate, maps, local search, or data APIs.
