Country Filter for X
Hide X posts and replies from any country or region
X shows where every account is based, but you can't filter your feed by it. Country Filter for X can. Tick a country or a whole region and posts and replies from accounts based there stop showing, or get blurred if you'd rather peek. Great for cutting engagement farms and reply spam. It tags every name with its location, counts what it filtered per place, and has an optional page for one-click blocking. Free, open source, no tracking: it only talks to x.com.
Hi Product Hunt! I built this because my X replies were full of the same engagement farms and spam accounts, and X started showing where every account is based without giving any way to use it.
Country Filter for X reads the "Account based in" info for posts on your screen, then hides or blurs the ones from the countries or regions you tick. It caches accounts for 30 days and stays under X's rate limit, so after a day or so most of your feed is already known.
It's free and open source, and nothing leaves your browser. It isn't 100% accurate (VPNs exist), so I'd love feedback on what would make it more useful.
