Hi everyone - First off, I'm thrilled to share my web-app with you! Coteri is an online invitation service that helps create a music playlist that matches the vibe for your event while considering the music tastes of your guests. Initially a hobby project, Coteri was built to enable collaborative music playlists across popular streaming apps such as Spotify and Apple Music. At one point, while I was working on the project, I was tasked with preparing some music for an occasion. I found that Spotify's Blend can have a high variability in style/genre, or be slightly off ~the vibe~ due to the various music tastes in the group. Further, given that users are spread across several music apps now, these kinds of tools are limited in their reach. With this being said, I figured there must be a better way to connect people through music. Coteri: The Music Connection. 🎵 How does it work? 1️⃣ After entering the details for your occasion, you'll be given the option to select your music streaming service: Spotify or Apple Music. Pick your service. ❶a First-time hosts will be brought to their music streaming service to authorize Coteri. 2️⃣ Your music data such as recently played and liked songs will be queried and displayed. Sift through your queried music, or use the search bar to search for any song you'd like. Select a few songs and submit. 3️⃣ The songs will be added to a playlist on your music streaming app. 4️⃣ Invite guests to your occasion. During the response process, they'll be prompted to add songs to the playlist. A list of song suggestions will be displayed to them based on the songs you picked - and any other selections from the crowd. Most importantly, guests can add songs without needing to connect a music app. The invite services are a fraction of the price when compared to popular invitation apps such as Evite and Greenvelope... all while elevating the music tastes of your group. Features: - Invite guests via email or sharing link - Track RSVPs - Coordinate on food, drink, and more through the Request List feature - Music playlist curation Is there a free option? - The free invite package includes up to 10 invites. Just looking to use Coteri music features? No invitations or RSVP tracking needed? - You can use Coteri music collaboration, another service listed on the site that's completely free. An invite link will be generated that you can share with your guests. What's in the works? - Seeking a Canva integration in the near future. This would enable digital cards to be designed as part of the invite. - Added filters: Popular songs from each decade, 1960s - 2010s. - YouTube Music integration
