CosNFX: Costume Gesture SFX
Control costume sound, visuals, and real props by gesture
CosNFX turns a Wear OS watch into a costume effects rig. Flick, strike, or clench and it fires a hero-grade sound the instant you move — then make it yours: your sounds, your art, your own recorded gestures, and real lights & smoke in sync. Free on Google Play, with an optional one-time $4.99 Pro unlock.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m Jonathan, the solo developer behind CosNFX.
CosNFX turns a Wear OS watch into a hands-free effects controller for costume performances. Flick, strike, punch, or raise your arm to trigger sound and reactive watch visuals without reaching for a phone or clicker.
The feature I’m most excited about is real prop control. With Pro, the same gesture can also control costume LEDs, room lighting, smoke machines, fans, and show-control equipment through WLED, Philips Hue, Home Assistant, HTTP, OSC, and Art-Net. One movement can trigger the entire performance cue.
The free version includes 30 identities, built-in gestures, calibration, and customization. The optional $4.99 one-time Pro unlock adds prop control, custom recorded gestures and media, multi-device playback, and Battle mode. There are no ads or subscriptions.
I’d especially value feedback on gesture reliability, onboarding, prop integrations, and which watch model you try. I built and tested primarily on a Galaxy Watch 7, so feedback from other Wear OS devices would be extremely useful.
I also have five one-time CosNFX Pro codes for people who want to test custom media or physical prop control. Comment with your Wear OS watch model and what you’d like to try, and I’ll follow up. Honest feedback is welcome. No review or upvote is required.
Thanks for taking a look. Happy to answer anything!
