Cortex OS
Turning wasted screen time into focused output.
Building Cortex — a behavioral AI system tackling one of the largest global productivity leaks: unconscious digital behavior. Cortex predicts and intervenes in user actions in real time, using proprietary behavioral data to interrupt compulsive scrolling and reshape human attention at scale.
I built Cortex after realizing how absurdly optimized modern apps are at hijacking attention. Most “screen time” tools just show stats after the damage is already done, they don’t intervene in the moment your brain is about to open Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.
So we built an iOS-native system that interrupts compulsive app opens in real time with friction layers, intentionality prompts, and behavioral design patterns inspired by neuroscience and habit formation.
The hardest part wasn’t the technology but the designing interventions that are effective without feeling annoying. We iterated heavily on timing, UX, and psychology to make Cortex feel premium, fast, and actually usable every day.
We’re early, but the vision is much bigger than “screen time reduction.” We think the next generation of consumer software won’t just maximize engagement but also optimize for cognition, focus, and human agency.

Who hunted Cortex OS?
Cortex OS was hunted by Valentino Marchesini. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
