Corporate Jargon Translator
Translates corporate speak into what people actually mean.
Corporate emails and LinkedIn posts are full of phrases that mean nothing: "let's circle back", "leverage our synergies", "move the needle", "per my last email". I built a translator that says what people actually mean. Paste any corporate email, LinkedIn post, or meeting recap. Get the honest version — funny but not cruel. Works in 7 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, and Japanese. Free. No signup required. 3 translations per day per visitor.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Built this on a weekend because I got tired of writing "let's circle back" in emails when I meant "we're going to avoid this decision for another week."
The idea is simple: paste any corporate email, LinkedIn post, or meeting recap. Get the version someone would actually say out loud — blunt, honest, and a little funny.
Examples of what it does:
• "Let's circle back" → "Let's talk about this later because we didn't decide"
• "Per my last email" → "I already told you this and you ignored me"
• "Let's double-click on our north star metrics" → "Let's look more closely at what actually matters"
I also added 7 languages (EN, ES, PT, FR, DE, HI, JA) so it works beyond English corporate speak. Each language has its own tone — the Japanese version is more polite, the Spanish version is more sarcastic.
**Tech stack:** Astro + Cloudflare Pages + Gemini 3.8 Flash + Cloudflare KV for rate limiting. Everything runs on the free tier.
**What I learned building it:**
1. Vertical-specific AI tools beat general ones. Calling it a "corporate jargon translator" gets 10x more clicks than "AI text rewriter".
2. Multi-language matters more than features. Half the traffic has come from non-English users.
3. Free without signup converts way better than freemium with an account wall.
**What I'm working on next:**
A Chrome extension version that works directly in Gmail and Outlook. Plus the ability to translate replies back into corporate-speak so you can sound professional after using the tool 😄
Happy to answer anything about the build, the AI prompting, or the multi-language setup. If you have a phrase you want translated, drop it in the comments and I'll run it through.
