copynpaste
Copy from anywhere. Paste it right, everywhere.
copynpaste reads the formatting in what you paste, even real bold copied out of Google Docs, then rewrites it in the exact syntax your destination understands. For rich-text apps it copies actual formatting; for chat apps it writes the right markers
Hey PH 👋
Every app speaks a different dialect of "bold." Slack wants *one* asterisk,
Discord wants two, WhatsApp wants _underscores_ for italic. So anything you
write in ChatGPT or Google Docs lands somewhere else as literal punctuation.
copynpaste fixes the handoff: paste your text, it detects the source
formatting, you pick a destination, it comes out correct.
Two decisions I'd defend:
• Every dialect table is verified against that platform's own docs, not
guessed at. Slack, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, Reddit, Teams.
• It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded — I didn't
want to be the service sitting on everyone's drafts.
Free, no sign-up, no daily limit. Open source under MIT:

Tell me which app mangles your formatting worst, or paste me anything that
converts wrong. Edge cases are what I want next.

Who hunted copynpaste?
copynpaste was hunted by Planc Labs. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
