Control My Mac

A shortcut deck for every Mac app, on your iPhone or iPad

Control My Mac turns your iPhone or iPad into a trackpad, keyboard and shortcut deck for your Mac, built so the whole Mac works with one finger. Its Grid of shortcut buttons switches automatically to match the Mac app in front. Write long messages on your phone and send them in one go. Launch apps and switch windows. Pair with one QR scan: no account, no servers, no ads, and an encrypted direct connection. The Mac app is free.

Hey Product Hunt, Sebastian here. I built Control My Mac because I kept getting up from the couch to click one thing on my Mac mini under the TV. Then I realised a lot of people have a much better reason than me to not reach the keyboard: an injury, RSI, a cast, a baby asleep on one arm. So the whole thing is built around one finger. Your iPhone or iPad becomes: • a trackpad (move, click, right click, scroll) • a keyboard, live key by key, or write the whole message first and send it in one go • a Grid of shortcut buttons that switches automatically depending on which Mac app is in front • an app launcher and window switcher A few things I cared about: • No account, no servers, no ads. The phone talks straight to the Mac over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, encrypted. • Pairing is one QR scan. No IP addresses, no firewall stuff. • The Mac app is free. The iPhone app has a free Essentials tier. Full App is an optional upgrade with a 7-day free trial, and there's a one-time Lifetime option if you hate subscriptions (me too). I'd really like to hear how you'd use it and what's missing. I'm reading every comment today.
