Context Trace

Review sensitive data in coding agent sessions

Review local Codex and Claude Code session records for sensitive data. See redacted findings, where they appeared in messages or tool results, and gaps that limit the audit. Analysis stays on your Mac.

Top comment

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Roberto.

I made Context Trace to answer a question I kept running into with coding agents: did sensitive data actually appear in a session, or was it just present somewhere on disk?

The app reads the local Codex and Claude Code records you choose. It shows a redacted finding, where it appeared in the record, and any gaps that limit the result. It never uploads the transcript or changes the original files. It also cannot tell you what a provider received.

For the Product Hunt launch, the planned Mac App Store price is €6.99 (regular €14.99), paid once with no subscription. If you use coding agents, what part of a session is hardest for you to inspect after the fact?

Who hunted Context Trace?

Context Trace was hunted by Roberto García Manzano. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
